Hotel Califonia

 

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air

어두운 사막의 고속도로에 시원한 바람이 머릿결을 스치고

따뜻한 콜리타스 냄새가 공기중에 피어오른다

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light.

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night.

저 멀리 앞에 반짝이는 불빛을 보았지.

머리는 점점 무거워 지고, 시야는 점점 침침해 지고

하룻밤 쉬어가기위해 멈추어야만 했지.

There she stood in the doorway;

I heard the mission bell, and I was thinking to myself,

'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell'

문가에 그녀가 서있고,

교회풍의 종이 울리는 소리를 들으며, 나는 생각했지

'이곳은 천국이거나 지옥일거야'

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them say...

그리곤 그녀가 촛불을 켜고 길을 안내했지.

복도 아래에서 목소리가 들렸는데

그들이 이렇게 말하는 것 같았어

Welcome to the Hotel California.

Such a lovely face

이렇게 아름다운곳에

이렇게 아름다운 모습에

묵을 방도 많고,

연중 아무때나 오셔도 됩니다.

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends.

She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends.

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet sommer sweat.

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget.

그녀의 마음은 아주 복잡해요, 마르세데스 벤츠를 몰면서,

그녀가 친구라 부르는 멋진 남자들을 많이 가지고 있었죠,

향기로운 여름 땀냄새에 젖어 그들이 춤을 어찌나 마당에서 추어대는지

어떤춤은 기억하기위해서, 어떤 춤은 잊기위해서.

So I called up the Captain,

'Please bring me my wine'

He said, 'We haven't had that spirit here since 1969'

나는 지배인을 불러서 와인을 한잔 가져다 달라고 했지

그가 말하길 '1969년이래로 그런술은 팔지 않아요'

And still those voices are calling from far away,

Wake you up in the middle of the night, just hear them say...

They livin' it up at the Hotel California

What a nice surprise, bring you alibis

아직도 그 목소리는 저 멀리서 부르고 있는 것 같아요.

한밤중에 그들이 이렇게 말하는 걸 듣기 위해 깨어나기도 합니다.

호텔 캘리포니아에 오신걸 환영합니다.

이렇게 아름다운 곳에

이렇게 아름다운 모습에

사람들은 호텔 캘리포니아에서 삶을 즐기고 있어요.

얼마나 멋진곳입니까, 핑계거리를 대 보세요.

Mirrors on the ceiling, The pink champagne on ice.

And she said 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device'

And in the master's chambers,

They gathered for the feast

They steb it with their steely knives,

But they just can't kill the beast.

천장에 달린 거울,  얼음위의 핑크빛 샴페인.

그녀가 말하길 "이곳에서 우리모두는 단지 우리가 만든 도구의 죄수들이예요"

그리고

큰 연예장에 사람들을 축제를 위해서 모이고

철제 나이프로 찌르지만, 실제로 집승을 죽일수는 없습니다.

Last thing I remember, I was running for the door.

I had to find the passage back to the place I was before.

"Relax," said the night man,

"We are programmed to receive.

You can check out anytime you like, but you can  never leave!!!!"

마지막으로 기억나는 것은, 내가 문으로 달려가고 있었던 것이죠.

나는 내가 전에 있던곳으로 돌아갈 통로를 찾아야 했어요.

"진정해요, 우리는 받아들이도록만 되어 있어요.

당신을 언제든지 호텔을 나갈순 있지만 이곳을 떠날 순 없어요."라고

야간 경비원이 말했습니다.
